Product Information
The spark plugs on the Macan require replacement every 30,000 miles. When the ignition coils start to go bad it will turn the check engine light on for a cylinder misfire. This significantly reduces engine performance and drivability and in severe instances can lead to engine damage.
Since the ignition coils have to be removed to replace the spark plugs, and as preventative maintenance while you're in there, we have included them in this kit as a complete service solution to keep your Porsche performing in top shape.
An ignition coil is a vital car component that produces high-voltage electricity to generate a spark at the spark plug, igniting the air-fuel mixture within the engine cylinder. When an ignition coil fails, it can cause engine misfires, rough idling, reduced power, an illuminated check engine light, difficulty starting the engine, and sometimes backfiring. These issues arise from weak or inconsistent sparks produced by the malfunctioning coil.
Ignition Coil Kit Failure Symptoms- Engine misfires: The most prominent sign, causing the engine to jerk or shudder, especially when accelerating, due to inconsistent combustion in one or more cylinders
- Rough idling: The engine vibrates or shakes noticeably when idling due to uneven firing of cylinders
