VW MK1 22mm Master Cylinder (Small Booster)

A Tech-53 exclusive! Early type and Europeean built booster compatibile. It replaces and upgrades part number 175 611 025.

This master was engineered to answer the demand of the 22mm master cylinder upgrade for the Mk1's. This is even more needed, when upgrading to our BBK.

Increasing the master cylinder size to 22mm, will give a firmer pedal feel, and easier feedback to control braking.

This master cylinder is made to be a direct replacement for Mk1's only with the FAG, and ATE earlier installed boosters. All German made Golf, Jetta, Cabrio, and pick up have that type of brake booster / servo. They will NOT fit the Westmoreland built mk1's : Those use the Bendix style boosters, and are not compatible with this one.

No pressure switches are included, nor the reservoirs. Your existing reservoir will snap in the new master as they have identical hole spacing.

These come with a Lifetime limited warranty, and we also stock the rebuild kits for them.
