VTT Remote Oil Filter Kit – BMW S58

VTT is excited to introduce our Remote Oil Filter Kit for the BMW S58 engine—engineered to simplify oil filter access, streamline plumbing, and reduce weight and complexity.

This kit removes the factory oil filter housing and relocates the filter underneath the vehicle, allowing for easy access and the use of a standard spin-on filter.

The filter IS ACCESSIBLE even with the aluminum belly pan on, as long as you are not running a stock-style cross over downpipe.

⚠️ Important Note:

This kit deletes the factory oil cooler unless you choose to plumb it back in yourself. It is intended primarily for drag racing applications, where oil cooling is not needed for short-duration runs.
For street, circuit, or road racing, an oil cooler is highly recommended.

🏁 For Road & Circuit Use:

You can retain an oil cooler with this kit, but it requires fabricating your own lines to run:

1️⃣ From the billet plate to the remote filter
2️⃣ From the filter to the oil cooler
3️⃣ Back from the cooler to the billet plate

This can be accomplished using our factory oil cooler to -10 AN adapter fittings (if retaining the OEM cooler), or using standard -10 AN fittings with braided or push-lock hose.
For optimal control, you may add an inline thermostat from brands like Improved Racing.

⚠️ IMPORTANT:

🚨 This kit removes the factory oil cooler. If you wish to retain or add a cooler, custom plumbing is required. These components are not included.

🚨 This kit is intended for drag racing use. Running without an oil cooler on the street, road course, or any extended use scenario is strongly discouraged.
